Evidence Based
Psychology in
Kingswood.
As one of Western Sydney’s largest practices, we can match you with a psychologist who not only has the right expertise for your needs but also feels like the right personal fit.

Research shows the relationship you build with your psychologist is the strongest predictor of therapy success - which is why we make it a priority to connect you with someone you trust and genuinely get along with, right from the start.

With a diverse team covering a wide range of specialties, you’ll have options and flexibility that smaller clinics simply can’t offer.

And if your needs or preferences change over time, we make it easy to adjust so you’re always working with the best possible match.

Your Questions, Answered.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and most people want to know what to expect before they book. We’ve put together answers to the questions we hear most often at our Kingswood clinic - from how referrals and Medicare work, to what happens in the first session and how we match you with the right psychologist.

Do I need a referral to book?

You don't require a referral to book at Unbound Minds. If you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate, you’ll need a referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP.

How many Medicare sessions can I get?

Medicare currently rebates up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions per calendar year under the Better Access program. Your GP usually refers you in blocks of 6, then reviews and may provide another 4.

What if I want to use NDIS or WorkCover?

We accept NDIS participants and WorkCover referrals. Our team can help with the paperwork and make the process as simple as possible.

How do you match me with a psychologist?

We’ll ask about your goals, preferences and personality. Because we’re one of Western Sydney’s larger practices, we have more choice — which means we can connect you with a psychologist who fits both your needs and your style. If it doesn’t feel right, we’ll adjust quickly.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is about understanding your story. You’ll talk about what brought you here, what you’d like to change and what support looks like for you. Your psychologist will then outline a plan for moving forward.

Whether you’re reaching out for yourself, your child, or someone you care about, we’re here to listen and help. Send us a message below and we’ll be in touch soon.

We never share your personal information with third parties.
