Cara has a passion for helping people achieve their goals and overcome life’s challenges. She is guided by a person-centred approach to therapy and uses evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.
Working with each unique “whole person”, Cara uses evidence-based psychological strategies along with empowering people to improve their health and well-being with Therapeutic Lifestyle Interventions that aid in managing stress and mood throughout life.
Cara draws on experience working collaboratively with NDIS clients in the disability sector and has previously worked to support those with complex needs, such as people with mood disorders, schizophrenia, and domestic violence and trauma backgrounds.
Cara also performs psychometric testing of children and adults.
Cara adheres to the core principles of compassion, respect and dignity and brings her experience from her previous working life in the creative sector to her passion for understanding and supporting people to reach their potential.
