At Unbound Minds, our focus is always on delivering compassionate, high-quality care. To help our clinicians stay fully present in your session while maintaining accurate and timely records, we may use secure, AI-assisted note-taking tools.
These tools allow us to document your sessions with greater precision, reducing the need for clinicians to take notes manually during your time together.
AI-assisted note-taking is designed to support the therapeutic process, not replace it. By reducing the administrative burden on our clinicians, these tools enable us to focus more deeply on what matters – your wellbeing. They also help ensure that session summaries are comprehensive and captured in a timely manner.
During your session, a secure AI system may be used to transcribe and summarise what is said. The resulting notes are reviewed, edited, and approved by your clinician before being saved to your clinical file.
Importantly:
No audio recordings are saved
Transcripts are typically deleted after the summary is generated
AI-generated summaries are not stored separately or accessed by third parties
Only the final, clinician-reviewed note is saved to your health record
We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. Any technology we use complies with the Australian Privacy Principles, AHPRA standards, and industry-standard data security protocols (including HIPAA where relevant). These tools do not store or use your data to train any AI models, and servers used are located in Australia or governed by Australian privacy laws.
You’ll be informed if AI note-taking will be used in your sessions, and you have the right to decline or withdraw your consent at any time. Choosing not to use this tool will never affect your access to care or the support you receive from our team.
If you have any questions about how AI-assisted note-taking works or would like more information, please reach out to your clinician.
