Caitlin grew up in regional NSW on a cattle farm and began her therapist journey working in the communities of Kempsey, Taree and Forster.  There she worked with people from all walks of life – allowing her to build an approach that allows for intergenerational, intercultural, and interfaith connections. One of the most essential aspects of the therapeutic process comes from the creation of a safe, judgement-free environment in which you feel heard and understood.

Caitlin’s approach focuses primarily on honesty, mutual respect, collaboration, and trust. She understands that therapy can be uncomfortable and challenging at times, however her goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel comfortable to express yourself and achieve your goals. Caitlin firmly believes that you, the client, are the expert on you, and her job is to facilitate your journey towards healing and trusting yourself.

Her approach to helping her clients reach their goals tends to be somewhat eclectic, meaning that she will utilise tools from CBT, Mindfulness, ACT, IFS, and a host of other therapeutic approaches as appropriate or helpful for her clients.

She has worked with Indigenous communities as part of an Aboriginal Medical Team, with participants of the NDIS, Workcover clients tackling PTSD, teenagers experiencing anxiety and bullying, adults experiencing gender dysphoria and other areas of sexuality, those in palliative care, adults in the justice system, children in out-of-home care, those experiencing autism/ADHD, those who have experienced trauma or grief, and more. This wealth of experience has taught Caitlin that there is no “one-size-fits-all” template as every person and every situation is unique.
